On Wednesday, April 28, 2010, 5 PM, NCBW will celebrate the 1 year anniversary of placing the memorial of Sojourner Truth in the United States Capitol Visitors' Center in Washington, DC, Orientation Theater. There will be a short program, after which attendees will be taken on a guided tour to see the Sojourner Memorial. The public is invited, but please respond at info@nationalcongressbw.org if you plan to attend. Bring children, grandchildren and the neighbor's children so they can witness this historic event. Become an active member of the NCBW and join the movement to empower African American women and their communities.
