The Honorable Barbara Lee (CA-09)
Rep. Barbara Lee is serving her sixth term in the U.S. House of Representatives. She was elected to Congress in 1998. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mills College and Master in Social Work from the University of California in Berkeley. Rep. Lee is the mother of two sons.



The Honorable Corrine Brown (FL-03)
Rep. Corrine Brown is serving her ninth term in the U.S. House of Representatives. She was elected to Congress in 1992. She earned a Bachelor of Science from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, and a Master and Education Specialist degree from the University of Florida. Rep. Brown is the mother of one daughter, Shantrel.



The Honorable Donna M. Christensen (VI)
Del. Donna M. Christensen is serving her seventh term in the U.S. House of Representatives as the Delegate from the Virgin Islands. She was elected to Congress in 1996. She earned a Bachelor of Science from St. Mary’s College and a M.D. (Doctor of Medicine) from George Washington University School of Medicine. Del. Christensen is the mother of two daughters, Rabiah Green George and Karida Green. She also gained two daughters, Lisa and Esther, and two sons, Bryan and David, through her marriage to Chris Christensen.

Rep. Donna F. Edwards is serving her first term in the U.S. House of Representatives. She was elected to Congress in 2008. She graduated from Wake Forest University, and earned a Juris Doctor from Franklin Pierce Law Center. Rep. Edwards is the mother of one son, Jared.


The Honorable Yvette D. Clarke (NY-11)
Rep. Yvette D. Clarke is serving her second term in the U.S. House of Representatives. She was elected toCongressin2006. Rep.Clarke received a scholarship to Oberlin College and was a recipient of the prestigious APPAH/Sloan Fellowship in Public Policy and Policy Analysis. Before coming to Congress, she succeeded her mother, Dr. Una S.T. Clarke in the New York City Council, making them the first mother-daughter succession in the history of the Council.


The Honorable Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11)
Rep. Marcia L. Fudge is serving her first term in the U.S. House of Representatives. She was elected to Congress in 2008, succeeding the late Rep. Stephanie Tubbs Jones in a special election. Rep. Fudge earned a Business Administration degree from Ohio State University, and Juris Doctor from Cleveland Marshall College of Law, Cleveland State University.


The Honorable Eddie Bernice Johnson (TX-30)
Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson is serving her ninth term in the U.S. House of Representatives. She was elected to Congress in 1992. She earned a Bachelor degree in Nursing from Texas Christian University and Master in Public Administration from Southern Methodist University. Rep. Johnson is the mother of one son, Kirk and grandmother of three grandsons.


The Honorable Sheila Jackson Lee (TX-18)
Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee is serving her eighth term in the U.S. House of Representatives. She was elect- ed to Congress in 1994. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Yale University and Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia Law School. Rep. Lee is married to Dr. Elwyn C. Lee, and they have two children, Erica and Jason.


The Honorable Gwen Moore (WI-04)
Rep. Gwen Moore is serving her third term in the U.S. House of Representatives. She was elected to Congress in 2004. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Marquette University, and a Harvard University Certificate for Senior Executives in State and Local Government. Rep. Moore is the mother of three children.


The Honorable Eleanor Holmes Norton (DC)
Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton is serving her tenth term in the U.S. House of Representatives. She was elected to Congress in 1990. She graduated from Antioch College, and earned a Juris Doctor from Yale University Law School. Del. Norton is the mother of two children, John and Katherine.


The Honorable Laura Richardson (CA-37)
Rep. Laura Richardson is serving her second term in the U.S. House of Representatives. She was elected to Congress in 2007. She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, and earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California. Rep. Richardson went on to spend 14 years working in corporate America.


The Honorable Maxine Waters (CA-35)
Rep. Maxine Waters is serving her tenth term in the U.S. House of Representatives. She was elected to Congress in 1990. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from California State University at Los Angeles.
Rep. Waters is married to Sidney Williams, and she is the mother of two children, Edward and Karen, and she has two grandchildren.


The Honorable Karen Bass (CA-33)
Prior to her serving as the current Congress member for CA-33rd, Karen Bass made history when the California Assembly elected her to be its 67th Speaker, catapulting her to become the first African American woman in the country to serve in this powerful state legislative role.




Frederica Wilson
Congresswoman Frederica Wilson brings with her to congress more than a decade of service in the Florida State Legislature, as a State Representative (1998-2002) and State Senator (2002-present), Representative Wilson has already represented many of the communities making up Congressional District 17. She has also served the community as a teacher, principal and school board member.
